Prof Gerhard Grobler

Host | Head of the Clinical Unit in Psychiatry at Steve Biko Academic Hospital and the Faculty of Health Sciences

Professor De Jager obtained his BSc, BSc Hons, and MSc in zoology at the University of the Free State before completing a PhD in Reproductive Biology: Urology at the University of Pretoria. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Université Laval in Quebec City, Canada, a Research Skills for Health Professionals programme at the University of Oxford and a Reproductive Toxicology Programme in Environmental Health and Safety at the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK. Professor De Jager has a C1 rating from the National Research Foundation and has attained international recognition. He is currently involved in various research projects, including ones focusing on malaria, reproductive toxicology and environmental health.
